KUALA LUMPUR: The second series of the 2016 Auditor General’s Report (AGR) has identified four weaknesses in the construction management of sports venues. However, despite the weaknesses, the report found that the allocated RM253.89 million to the Youth and Sports Ministry was well spent. It was completed within the time given and appointment of contractors were made in-line with the plan,” the report said. “The Youth and Sports Ministry should ensure every work performed is monitored by the responsible officer according to the guidelines. “The Internal Investigation Committee shall be established to discuss and address the weaknesses raised specifically on improper payment.” it said.
