During Algeria’s defeat in the quarter-final game against Nigeria, some players and team officials engaged in a brawl that breached disciplinary codes. In response, CAF’s Disciplinary Committee handed down financial penalties amounting to $100,000, alongside sporting sanctions targeting key members of the Algerian squad.
