The 0-0 draw between hosts South Africa and Libya has piled more pressure on the Super Eagles despite their 3-0 win in Seychelles. Determined Libya stayed top of Group E with four points and a healthy goals’ difference of +4, while South Africa remain in second place, also with four points. But they could well rue not running up the scores against the Pirates of Seychelles as both Libya and South Africa are also expected to win comfortably in Victoria. The South Africans could even build a good lead over both Nigeria and Libya after their double-header against Seychelles next month. Libya coach Amrouche said after a well-deserved draw in Durban today that he hopes both South Africa and his team advance to the tournament proper.
