The Black Stars last played Cameroon during the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, where Ghana lost 2-0 to the Indomitable Lions in the semifinals. The Black Stars have not won an AFCON title since 1982 and now they have to negotiate a tricky group before dreaming of reaching the final of the competition. Host Egypt have been given a relatively easy group after being paired with DR Congo, Uganda and Zimbabwe in Group A.Nigeria, who are one of the favourites to win the tournament will play Guinea, Madagascar and Burundi in Group B.
