President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed surprise that the Super Eagles of Nigeria who at present are participating in the African Cup of Nations in Egypt are being owed allowances. Simon Lalong of Plateau State disclosed Buhari’s feelings to State House correspondents on Monday after a private meeting with the president at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Lalong, said that aside from the plight of the Super Eagles, his visit was on behalf of his state and in his capacity as the new Chairman of Northern Governors Forum. “Some of the concerns they raised is that many of their allowances were not paid and the President expressed surprise that he signed these allowances and they are not paid to them. According to him, he is a member of the Food Security Committee and also a member of the Herdsmen/Farmers Committee.
