The European index increased 0.1% to 144.58, the Asian index climbed 0.6% to 175.00, the Latin American index jumped 2.1% to 191.54 and the emerging markets index rose 0.8% to 289.12. ADRs of Gol Linhas Aereas Inteligentes SA jumped 11% after the Brazilian airline reported better-than-expected earnings results for the fourth quarter as demand for air travel continued to recover.
