The Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria has reacted to the plan by the Federal Ministry of Health to create a three-tier of eligible players in the sale of over-the-counter drugs under the wide classification of Patent and Proprietary Medicine Vendors Licence in Nigeria. In the statement, the association also described the situation as one that revolves around their future and urged the present administration to look into the nation’s failed health system. The statement partly read, “We at ACPN have resolved to handle this matter, which revolves around our future and destiny with all the smartness and seriousness it deserves. “The report on it is premature as it is still a proposal and is being subjected to critical review among stakeholders,” she said.
