The party leaders, under the aegis of Concerned National Executives of Allied Congress Party of Nigeria, made their position known in a statement in Abuja. The statement was jointly signed by the party’s National Treasurer, Chief Angus Uzoamaka; Chairman, South-East Zone, Chief I. K. Okagbu ; and the Assistant Director-General, South-East Campaign, Dr F.U. The party leaders backed the party’s former presidential candidate, Dr Obiageli Ezekwesili’s position, accusing the party leadership of greed. They alleged that Galadima and others refused to give account of all the funds, including those paid by all candidates for various positions. They disclosed that it took them many weeks to convince Ezekwesili to contest the presidential election on the party’s platform.
