ACC to prosecute BNP chief's ex-adviser Falu in 6 cases over forestland grab


The commission gave the go-ahead to the filing of six cases involving forgery at a meeting held on Wednesday, ACC Deputy Director Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told bdnews24.com. He said the ACC was prosecuting 15 other people on charges of helping Falu grab the around 10 acres of forestland. ACC spokesperson Pranab said 9.64 acres of land at Palgaon in Mymensingh's Bhaluka was "grabbed through registering it using the name of Falu recently." The ACC is going to prosecute then sub-registrar of Bhaluka, Md Fazlar Rahman, in all six cases, Pranab said. But Sub-Registrar Fazlar Rahman helped the transfer of the land's ownership to Falu through six deeds in connection with a ring of land agents violating the ACC notice and other laws, the ACC official said.
