LR Global is an affiliate of LR Managers Investments, a New York-based investment holding company, operating in Bangladesh. The commission issued the notice a day after it interrogated Towfique Imrose for about five hours at the ACC interrogation cell. LR Global is an asset management company which is managing six closed-end mutual funds listed on the country’s stock exchanges. Bdnews24 in a report published in its online portal said that LR Global Bangladesh invested Tk 50 crore in Bdnews24 to support the expansion of news automation and creativity of the news outlet. Emerged from Tuesday’s interrogation Towfique Imrose told reporters that the ACC’s inquiry against him was not clear while ACC said that the commission launched the inquiry following specific allegation.
