Police recovered the body of an Anti-Corruption Commission official from ACC barrack in the city’s Bagbari area on Saturday night. Gausul Alam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kotwali Model Police Station, Sylhet Metropolitan police, said on information, they rushed to the scene and recovered the body of Layez, an ACC sub-inspector, which was found hanged. It is apparently a suicide, added the police official. “We recovered a suicide note in his possession in which Layez mentioned the reason behind his death. Sylhet ACC official Komor Uddin’s name was written in the note,” the OC said.
