The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has arrested Abul Khair, former managing director (MD) of Padma Oil Company Limited (POCL), for embezzling Tk 3.8 crore. “A team of ACC conducted a raid Abul Khair’s Gulshan house at the wee hours of Thursday and arrested him,” ACC Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told media on Thursday morning. The ACC in April this year filed two cases against seven people, including Abul Khair, for allegedly plundering public money. Abul Khair is incumbent managing director of state-run Jamuna Oil Company Ltd.
