ACC chief executive Scott Pickering has resigned after eight years in the role and is eyeing a return to the private sector. Pickering's last day will be June 30 and a global search for his replacement has begun. ACC board chairwoman Dame Paula Rebstock said Pickering had been an exceptional chief executive, overseeing the organisation’s transformation. During his tenure, public trust and confidence in ACC had hit record levels, moving from 48 per cent in May 2013 to 72 per cent in September 2020, she said. Pickering said leading the organisation had been “an absolute privilege” and he was proud of what ACC has achieved in his time.
