The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has arrested a deputy secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration for allegedly accumulating wealth illegally. Mohammed Amin was picked up at 11am on Monday from Dhaka’s Maghbazar area, ACC’s Public Relation Official Pranab Kumer Bhattacharya confirmed. Deputy Secretary Amin is currently an officer on special duty (OSD), a position that rarely gives opportunity to work. Pranab said Amin was accused in a case last month for illegally amassing wealth worth Tk48.67 lakh.
