The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s student wing Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) forced a professor to kneel and apologize for allegedly posting an anti-India post on social media in Viajaypara district of Karnataka on Saturday. The incident took place in Vachana Pitamaha Dr.P G Halakatti College of Engineering and Technology run by Bijapur Lingayat Development Education Society of Karnataka Home Minister and senior Congress leader M.B.Patil. According to a report in The Hindu newspaper, the ABVP members took exception to this post and staged a demonstration in front of the college. As the ABVP protestors were particular that the lecturer come out and apologies, the college management reportedly “convinced” him to do so. Although the incident took place in presence of a police constable and college authorities, no case has been filed so far.
