Media giant ABS-CBN Corp. on Wednesday went before the Supreme Court to stop a government order for its closure after its franchise expired. ABS-CBN accused the NTC of grave abuse when it issued the closure order. It said it decided to bring the case to the Supreme Court because it involves public interest. The network said its digital platforms were not covered by the closure order. He, however, said the timing of the closure order was off and very divisive at a time when the country needs to unite in the war against the coronavirus.
