Swedish group ABBA has set a new record, with their 1992 compilation ABBA Gold becoming the first album to spend 1000 weeks on the UK album chart. In a quote shared by the publication, Martin Talbot from the Official Albums Chart said about the achievement: "To have racked up 1000 weeks on the Official Albums Chart, a solid 20 years of chart presence, is quite remarkable." He continued: "It not only highlights [Abba's] incredible popularity, but just how closely they have connected with a succession of new generations." ABBA are expected to reunite for the first time since their split in 1982 when they transform into avatars for their upcoming tour. In a previous interview with The Times, band member Björn Ulvaeus said that while their sound will be slightly different, it will still be "very much ABBA".
