Association For Asian American Studies (AAAS) announced Sustainable Politics as the theme for its 2023 conference in a recent press release. With the rise of anti-Asian hate crimes during the COVID-19 pandemic, advocates have begun to push for the inclusion of Asian American studies in public school curricula. A total of 19 states now teach Asian American studies in public schools. AAAS has been helping to facilitate public discourse about how Asian American Studies could combat anti-Asian racism.
