Filmmaker Matthew Vaughn has publicly dismissed the conspiracy theory that Taylor Swift penned the novel from which his new star-studded spy film has been adapted. But it’s not Taylor Swift. Vaughn revealed that it had been bought without his permission and hidden from him, but promised that it was ‘our only Taylor Swift connection’. Speaking on how Chip was cast for the film, Vaughn explained that it was ‘by default’ after the actor cat they hired ‘wasn’t really working out’.
