Al Franken (D-Minn.) reluctantly announced he's resigning his seat Thursday after multiple women accused him of groping them spanning a decade. He was even less apologetic in his resignation speech, saying some of his eight accusers remembered his actions differently and suggesting other accusations flat-out didn't happen. A couple of months ago I felt that we had entered an important moment in the history of this country. And that I have earned a reputation as someone who respects the women I work alongside everyday.
