The Orissa-born chef graduated from IHM Chennai in 1997 and began his career with the Leela Kempinski in Mumbai before setting up Star Anise Patisserie in the city’s hippest suburb. Khan honed his skills under the Swiss master pastry chef, Beat Loeffel and, later, worked in the pastry kitchens of hotels from Canada to Oman, and from Egypt to Tanzania, winning accolades and recognition as the best pastry chef. “I returned to India in 2010 and set up my premium catering company, Star Anise Fine Foods & Leisure Pvt.
