Tripoli hosted the Third German-Libyan Economic Experts Forum for the first time, as the previous versions took place in Tunisia and Berlin due to security reasons. The forum brings together political decision-makers and business leaders from both countries to engage in dialogue on economic and energy policy and promoting vocational training. Among the participants, Eng Al-Mabrouk Saleh, Founder of the Alhandasya Electromechanical Engineering Company, specialized in renewable energy who expressed in statements to The Libya Observer his optimism about holding the forum on the Libyan territory. According to Saleh, the group discussed German support and contribution to resolving bottlenecks in several service sectors in Libya, as well as providing medium and long-term support. Several priority areas had been identified, mainly in the energy sector, public services, and local governance, Saleh added.
