Artist Laurena Finèus created this work as the cover for her cousin Jessie Simmons's song, called Wisdom. They teamed up to honour their late uncle Fausto Fontil, who died this spring of complications due to COVID-19. (@trickyslens)This summer, the 27-year-old musician found herself composing the words to a song she later realized was about her uncle. Laurena Finèus graduated this spring from the University of Ottawa's fine arts program and now works as an arts administrator. 'He was a man that loved life, his family and the people around him,' said Jessie Simmons about her uncle, the late Fausto Fontil.
