TODAY, the world commemorates the 75th anniversary of the end of WWII in the Pacific. At ceremonies across Australia today, many will be pausing to remember those who lost their lives in Sandakan and other parts of the Pacific. The courage and support they showed to Commonwealth troops remains a beacon of humanity in this dark chapter.
