MPs had gathered to vote on a motion to limit debate on the Liberals’ controversial assisted-dying legislation, Bill C-14, early Wednesday evening. Some MPs have suggested Opposition members were dallying on the chamber floor ahead of the vote when the prime minister rose from his seat and physically removed Conservative MP Gord Brown, the Opposition Whip, from the gaggle of NDP and Conservative politicians still standing.
