Sue and Chip Ippolito recover in their Laconia home after kidney transplant surgery. Her intention was to volunteer to donate one of her kidneys in lieu of one that would be a match for Chip. What neither of them knew at that point was that her blood type, as well as several other factors, made her a perfect match for Chip. "Chip didn't want me to be a donor," Sue explained. Sue Ippolito was able to talk a nurse into taking her up to Chip's room hours after her kidney was implanted into his body.
