The mixed doubles player’s decision to wait for his partner Peck Yen Wei to recover from her knee injury for 17 months has ended with a promising showing in Europe. “This is my fourth year with Yen Wei but we are starting all over again, ” said Tang Jie. The 23-year-old Tang Jie and his older partner Yen Wei, 25, are currently ranked second behind Hoo Pang Ron-Cheah Yee See in the national team. Our ranking is low but we may make it if some of them withdraw, ” added Tang Jie.
