Needless to say, this is exactly what the nation has been wanting all along: The government and our opposition parties all working together. As citizens themselves, our political leaders share the same goal as us: To make Bangladesh a better, more prosperous nation for all. To that end, the PM’s reassurance to contesting parties that the elections will be held democratically, is most welcome. Free and fair elections are the only way forward, and this recent act of cooperation will finally give us just that.
