As live outdoor performances become possible this summer, Toronto’s Musical Stage Company will present a new musical about that unforgettable 2003 night — fittingly enough, under the stars at the High Park Amphitheatre. “BLACKOUT” is one of a number of initiatives developed by Musical Stage during the pandemic that are finally able to reach audiences and which the Star is revealing exclusively. Loading... Loading... Loading... Loading... Loading... Loading... Musical Stage Company has also revealed plans for its annual autumn signature concert “UnCovered,” which will feature the music of Dolly Parton arranged by the company’s musical director, Reza Jacobs. It blends live concert, drive-in and musical theatre experiences — yet another innovative means by which Musical Stage is bringing Torontonians together to experience musical theatre as the hard times come to an end.
