The overall death toll in the district has risen to 41 with two more recent deaths attributed to the disease on Wednesday. The district jail has reported 40 cases in all, and the special subjail, two. Large number of cases continued to be reported from various parts of the district, including the coastal areas. Parassala reported nine cases; Mulloor, eight; Keezharoor and Balaramapuram, seven each; and Ooruttambalam and Santhipuram, six each. District Collector Navjot Khosa issued orders on Wednesday declaring containment zones in ten wards in rural Thiruvananthapuram.
