(Melina Mara/The Washington Post)Haley Stevens (D-Mich.) was up early on Thursday morning, after working late on Wednesday night. “I said I’m going to go otherwise in the caucus but I’m not going to abandon you on the floor,” she said. “I thought about what I’m about to go do — I’m going to get on the airplane, get out to D.C.,” she said. “In two days, I’m going to be sworn in with this amazing group of people . “You asked me about my day and how I’m feeling,” Stevens said as she prepared to greet friends and relatives.
