Fifteen portable homes have been put on Māori land, with those living in them paying what they can. A group providing counselling and support for people with drug addiction has come up with a housing solution by putting portable homes on Māori land in Northland. Resident Pablo McGreggor said he's been off methamphetamine for three months, but it's not been easy. Hub co-organiser Rhonda Zielinski said the portable homes transform people's lives. The hub has about 100 people on its waiting list and no money left to buy any more portable homes.
