VOICESAs the movement regained its glory and became the foremost voice of the country’s oppressed majority, these statements also grew in importance, becoming an important marker on the liberation struggle’s political calendar. Much has changed since the ANC’s unbanning in 1990 and it started governing the country in 1994. In the past few years, the party has been preaching about renewal, in the hope that it will regain its past glory.
