Alas, Shakespeare isn’t the only dead writer to have his work shaken up by Fringe artists. The Fringe artists featured include: So to commemorate the pun-filled signs that adorn Honest Ed’s, we dared a handful of this year’s festival artists to give us their best (or worst) Honest Ed’s-style hard sell, and compiled a trusty guide to catching the right show for you. Since 2010, for 10 days every summer, the Toronto Fringe Festival has transformed the Honest Ed’s alleyway and parking lot into an independent theatre blowout, a vibrant and bizarre party full of art installations, post-show drinking and mingling. Running from June 29 to July 10, this will be the last year that Fringe converges on the iconic discount emporium.
