School district among best employers in MississippiIf you work for DeSoto County Schools, you’re working for a pretty good employer. Cory Uselton Thursday announced the district, the largest in the state of Mississippi with over 34,000 students, is among the state’s best employers, according to Forbes Magazine. DCS was 12th among Mississippi’s 20 best employers. It was announced Thursday by Uselton, although the article by Forbes listing the top employers actually is dated Aug. 24, 2021. Still, it’s high recognition for the district, which for Mississippi rates higher as an educational institution employer than the University of Mississippi (14th) and Mississippi State (15th).
