For about a decade now, a cheating ring has been helping people pass state-run companies' entrance tests, charging up to NT$1.8 million per applicant. The company said it had terminated the 16 employees late March and filed charges against cheating ring in June. The CPC said that cheating was not only unfair to the other applicants but was also dangerous. CPC's crackdown on the cheating ring came after a six-month investigation that was prompted by a tip-off about suspected cheating in the 2016 test. The CPC also received reports of cheating in this year's test, which was held on July 15.
