Many composites being supplied to BAE Systems, MBDA, Raytheon and others are from Brookhouse Aerospace Limited and Hardide Coatings Limited. They have received a £161 million investment in 2023 (MoD, 2023) (up from previous investment at £76 million (BAE Systems, 2021)). They specialise in the global repair of F-35 components and holds a £500 million contract with the US Department of Defence (BBC, 2019; MoD, 2019). BAE Systems has been given the responsibility of developing the Block 4 electric warfare systems, a contract valued at $491 million given by Lockheed Martin for future F-35’s (BAE Systems, 2023).
