Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) at a House Judiciary Committee hearing on Nov. 14. 1Sessions told the House Judiciary Committee that he did not recall participating in a Trump campaign meeting involving George Papadopoulos until the media jogged his memory. Sessions previously told members of Congress that he was not aware of anyone on the Trump campaign communicating with Russians. In an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News, Trump Jr. said he had simply forgotten about the meeting. 6In his January confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Sessions testified that he “did not have communications with the Russians” during the campaign.
