Malashree, the well known dance institution recently celebrated 20 years of its inception at Kolkata’s Rabindra Sadan with an array of performances that impressed the audience. The evening started with the dance composition of Ratikanta Mohapatra, “Vinayaka Smaraney” under the direction of Arpita Venkatesh set to Eka taal and Jyoti in raga Ahir Bhairav. Thumri in Trintaal — an original music and dance composition of the legendary Pt. The protagonist of the drama Mala loves to be in the company of mother nature most of the time. The overflow of energy permeated through the audience who went into a reverie in the lap of mother nature with Mala.
