A Taiwan Startup Is Cutting The Cost Of Trips To Airports

You’ve got a 7 a.m. international flight and need to be at an airport by 5 a.m. Now a startup with operations in Taipei is planning to kill those rates. The service called AirPoPo started seven months ago with shared rides to and from the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport to the island's capital Taipei, roughly an hour-long trip. AirPoPo, a unit of the iBeenGo company registered in 2015, gets about 200 passengers per day in Taiwan for trips to or from the airport. But the CEO sees the airport transfer service at least as a way to drive customers to another business unit, DingTaxi.
