According to him, the President has shown support for the proposal to develop the facility in the region. “One thing I have told President Mahama is for him to build an airport in the Central Region. The last time, the President sent the Director of Tema Port to meet me in my office and I told him that we have to build an airport in the Central Region. “Some people went to him saying they wanted to work on the Tema Port but he told them to go to the Central Region instead. That shows the President has an eye on the Central Region,” he added.
