A program that aims to inspire young women to enter the STEM fields through role models has just been created,IF/THEN. A survey carried out by Microsoft also reveals that young women who have role models in STEM, are more than 50% more interested in STEM related jobs. Thus, in order to inspire more young women to dream of becoming the next innovator, we have to expose young women to those possibilities in a way that allows young women to believe that they too can achieve them. IF/THEN aims to inspire young women to enter the STEM fields by highlighting the achievements of modern female role models in STEM. Through this program, 100 women from a variety of STEM professions, will come together to inspire young women and serve as role models for middle school girls.
