A Kiwi couple booked a US charter flight that never existed

Kiwi couple Sylvia and Peter Thornhill only had 24 hours in Utah, so they planned to make the most of it with a flight over the Grand Canyon. An empty airport was the first sign that things had gone wrong for Kiwi couple Peter and Sylvia Thornhill during a trip through the US. With only 24 hours in Utah, the Thornhills had booked a private charter flight over part of the Grand Canyon, KSL.com reported. The couple were left US $1,159.83 (NZ $1798.20) out of pocket after paying for a Utah Airways flight that didn't exist. SUPPLIED Sylvia and Peter Thornhill believed they'd booked a private charter flight over the Grand Canyon from Utah.
