Yesterday The Times was given exclusive access to the unofficial museum of Caledonian broadcasting history before the props are moved to a… The BBC Scotland prop store has been in its unassuming surroundings in Maryhill for 25 years, housing the costumes and wares that have featured in television classics such as Still Game and Tutti Frutti and films such as Trainspotting. Inside it is a technicolour treasure trove which helped to turn Robbie Coltrane, Ewan McGregor and Emma Thompson into global stars. The store is in the process of moving to a new site in Dumbarton Times photographer James GlossopFrom the outside it is just a warehouse on an industrial estate in the northern reaches of Glasgow.
