A-G Apandi told to take leave, says Dr M - Nation

PUTRAJAYA: Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali has been told to take leave and will be temporarily replaced by the Solicitor-General, says Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. The Prime Minister said although the A-G's contract has been recently renewed, the government would go through the proper process to initiate investigations against Apandi. Asked whether Mohamed Apandi is being investigated, the Prime Minister said a police report must first be lodged before an investigation can be done. At this moment, we have yet to lodge a formal report, although there are a lot of allegations made against Apandi," said Dr Mahathir. Apandi had reported to work on Monday, the first day since Pakatan Harapan won the May 9 polls.
