It’s a bummer for fans who have liked Call of Duty’s mostly linear campaigns in the past, and with Black Ops especially, BO1 and BO2 had some of the best campaigns in COD history. ActivisionThe fact is that campaigns in games like this are incredibly time-consuming and expensive to produce. Still, even though all of this makes logical sense, it might be a risk to mess with what works. Some of my favorite Call of Duty moments are from campaigns, be they Chernobyl or No Russian or what have you. I can see why this might be an experiment, but I do hope it doesn’t turn into a permanent trend.
