@NHL_Sid : Personally, I like to split up GF% into GF and GA, xGF% into xGF and xGA, and go from there. In single-season samples, I use GF, xGF and xGA for forwards, and primarily value xGF and xGA for defencemen. There is value, over a large enough sample in looking at a players GF% and there is value in looking at a player’s xGF%.
