CONCEPCION, Iloilo—Peakpower Energy Inc., controlled by listed A Brown Co. Inc., is nearing completion of its peaking plants in Mindanao with a total generation capacity of 55 megawatts, an official said Wednesday. Peakpower Energy president Roel Castro said the company also planned further expansion projects to boost its capacity by 70 megawatts. He said the company was bullish oo potential peaking plant power projects in Luzon and Visayas next year. A Brown earlier announced it was consolidating all peaking projects under holding company Peakpower Energy. Peakpower Energy was set up to implement projects designed to generate peaking energy spread across several electric cooperatives in Mindanao and Visayas.
