There is a good reason why Taiwan’s 7-Eleven has made itself an integral part of many locals' daily life. 7-Eleven and its major convenience store rivals can literally be found everywhere from up in the mountains to oceanside, in cities, suburbs and rural villages. According to Euromonitor, Taiwan’s 7-Eleven held a 60.5% share of Taiwan’s convenience store market in 2018. 7-Eleven Taiwan, entering its 41st year in the market, said it's been profitable after losses in the first seven years. 7-Eleven and its major rivals in Taiwan have not only redefined the meaning of convenience stores, they have also taken the experience of convenience up several notches.
