After the great success of its eight previous editions, the Panorama of the European Film is hosting its 9th edition from 2-12 November. The panorama was launched in 2004 and co-funded by the European Union under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and the Egyptian Film Centre. Equally novel in this edition is the “Panoranimation” section, which will feature a selection of the latest critically-acclaimed European animation films. The movie competed for the Palme D’Or at the Cannes festival. The movie won the prestigious Golden Bear Award at the 66th Berlin International Film Festival and is Italy’s Best Foreign Language Film entry for the Academy Awards in 2017.
